This soldering block is a long lasting surface on
which to solder. The block can be used as is or
broken into shapes to help support the item being
soldered. Asbestos Substitute.
Also available in sheet form - 999 969.
Other materials on which to solder are
Charcoal (999 970) and a Ceramic
Honeycomb Board (999 972/973).

Ive had my block for over a year now and its given excellent service. It reflects heat well onto the item being soldered while protecting my bench top. Only now, after a year of hard use, using both propane and oxy propane torches, is the top surface showing signs of wear. Turning it over should give me another 12 months serviceable use. All in all real value for money.
